What Our Customers are Saying
The thing I love best about Pandia’s science books is that they don’t make me feel overwhelmed from the moment I open them up, like so many other curricula. Instead of being faced with wall to wall text, written just to the teacher...I am faced with pages of small sections of text, broken up in a bite-size, easy to understand way, with the student pages and their cute illustrations mixed in with the units to add to the visual appeal. Each section is labeled appropriately so I can tell at a glance what I am looking at and I know what I am to do with each section: Peruse the list of materials for that unit, read a section designated as “read aloud” to my child, learn the procedures that we are going to be doing for a lab (and background info), find the printables for my child that go with that unit...it’s all there, in clear, manageable sections that make me feel like I CAN DO THIS. Plus, it’s fun, interesting, and hands-on, with lots of cool labs using mostly things from around the house!! We love Pandia science!
We are using Bio 2 with a mixed age group in a co-op setting. The format of the lessons are very easy to follow and the students find the labs fun and engaging. The content of each chapter is efficiently communicated and concepts are easy to understand with examples and illustrations to explain the more complex topics. Concepts and vocabulary are introduced and then applied in the labs. Materials for labs are easily-sourced items. The kids really look forward to lab day! Each chapter features a guided research portion that gives students a chance to learn about a famous science-related topic or scientist relevant to the chapter. There's a quiz at the end of each chapter that reinforces what they kids have learned (we use this to test their retention). I would highly recommend Bio 2 to individuals or co-ops looking for a well-rounded, hands-on approach to biology. I'm really glad we chose this curriculum for our students. The Teacher's Guide is indispensable.
As a physicist, I am quite impressed by RSO Physics Level 1. The topic of action vs. reaction is one that even university-level textbooks commonly muddle, and your explanation, although suitable for primary students, seemed one of the clearest I have ever encountered. So, congratulations on the good work!
I liked how American History started with the indigenous people and focused fairly throughout the book on all racial groups who inhabited the United States and not mainly on the European Settlers.
I love the History Odyssey, especially Level 3. I think it is the best way to get ready for the writing they need in college.
We love REAL Science Odyssey! We've been using it for the last 2 years and already bought it (chemistry) for next year.
We are loving Pandia Press Biology 2. My daughter loves the hands on, real world learning that takes her from her microscope to cooking in the kitchen to doing plot studies in local streams. I searched high and low for more than a basic - learn from a book, science course. This is hands on, real world experience and it's everything I was hoping for and more. She wants to be an aeronautical scientist when she grows up and Pandia Press is giving her a spectacular education that will help catapult her into whatever field she decides to go into.
RSO Biology is one of the few curriculum of any kind that has actually worked for our family. We love the layout. It's not overwhelming. You can just pick up and go and it's customizable. Several of my friends have been sold on the product after seeing my posts about our RSO labs on social media!
Straight forward and factual--the activities are engaging and easy to put together without a ton of parent work before starting. We love this science curriculum!
We love RSO Level 1 Chemistry! The labs are fun and simple to do using household items.
